Women 4 Women

Our Women 4 Women program (W4W) is an inter-generational skills sharing program for women aged 18-30 and 50+. Run over 6-weeks, volunteers provide 1-2-1 support and tuition with participants that helps to build their skills, confidence and friendships, on topics such as using mobile devices, online shopping, using social media, traditional crafts such as knitting, embroidery, dress design, etc.

Home Comforts Participant

Home Comforts Cooking

Home Comforts is a 5-week cooking program for women from refugee & asylum-seeker communities to come together to teach & share traditional recipes from their home countries.

The program provides the opportunity for women to gain a recgonised REHIS certificate whilst learning more about one another’s cultures, building friendships & integrating in the community.

SHE: Supporting Her

Empowerment

This 12-week program focuses on using creativity such as arts & crafts, poetry, cooking etc. to support & empower young women & girls aged 12-18 to become more confident & resilient.

Confidence Buidling

This 3-year funded project supports women in Govan and surrounding areas of Glasgow to become more confident and creative, raising positive mental wellbeing, encouraging integration and actively taking part in community activities. We do this through a series of drop-in sessions and 6-week blocks of confidence and positivity programs, as well as volunteering opportunities, where women can learn new skills, meet people and share creative and cultural skills and traditions with one another.

Crafty Chats

Crafty Chats is a weekly program for women in our community with the aim of tackling social isolation and loneliness. Sessions run on Wednesdays 6pm-8pm for anyone who would like to come along to do a craft activity, meet other women, have a friendly chat & a cuppa!

Activities have included card making, felt Christmas stockings, making essential oils, painting, collages, etc and includes some themed discussions to encourage integration, building confidence, self-help, positive mental wellbeing, etc. snacks & hot and cold drinks are also provided.

Her Future Enterprises

 ‘Her Future Enterprises’  is a 12-week program for women, funded by Glasgow City Council’s ‘Social Innovation Challenge Fund’.

– Have you always wanted to start your own business but don’t know where to start?

– Do you have a business/ social enterprise idea that you need support with?

– Are you ready to launch your business or social enterprise?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then this is the program for you! Whether you simply have an idea or are ready to launch a project this 12-week program will help to develop skills & knowledge as well as support grassroots business in a culturally safe and supportive space, inspiring & empowering women to succeed in business and building a community of confident, connected entrepreneurs.

 We are particularly keen to support women from marginalised and global majority communities in this program.

Family Activities Program

Gilded Lily’s new ‘Family Activities Program’ provides an opportunity for parents (gaurdians, grandparents, etc.) and children to take part in creative, educational & fun activities along side one another.  These weekly sessions allow families to spend time together and connect with each other as well as other families in the community.

Our Family Activity sessions run every Saturday 12pm-2pm at Gilded Lily with our newest member of staff Claire Leonard! The sessions are completely FREE & ALL women + children are welcome to join.
