Our Workshops Make A Difference!

Key outcomes for our participants

Personal Support and Fulfilment

We provide encouragement and a safe place to express difficulties and celebrate successes. The workshops and weekly group meetings allow existing social entrepreneurs to inspire and support women to succeed in their own ambitions.  We aim to inspire, nurture, motivate, learn from each other and share resources.

Increased Learning

We encourage and inspire problem solving; providing new skills and training opportunities, technical & admin support and pooled skills sharing. Each week we focus on a different theme such as Motivation; Identifying and Researching Social and Environmental Needs; Setting Targets/Monitoring and Evaluation; Operations; Sales & Marketing and Finance & Funding. We draw on the expertise of the Gilded Lily team, the real life experiences of a broad range of fellow social enterprises and invite participation and contribution from various partner support organisations.

Better Connected

Gilded Lily is a place for accessing new connections for self/venture development. The participants who benefit from our workshops or 6 week long group meetings are all working towards the start-up of a new or growth of an existing social venture and are encouraged to connect and collaborate.

Outreach

Raising awareness of social entrepreneurship and inspiring others to get involved through targeting organisations and individuals who would not normally engage in enterprise or social enterprise activities. We target women who lack confidence due to a range of barriers. Our workshops involve exploring social and environmental problems, confidence building with education, support and drama; product making and sales and marketing.

The Gilded Lily approach is unique!

We pride ourselves on our dedication to meeting the needs of and providing opportunities for Scottish women, and delivering real results through trading enterprises, job creation, volunteering roles and increased confidence, self-esteem and skills!
